Nerf bars and mud flaps . . .

Got a couple things I need to put on my truck that I still have not gotten around to doing. I need to get a set of nerf bars and a good all around set of mudflaps. Anyone have any suggestions on brands and places to get these items? I've never installed a set of nerfs myself but figure that it can't be too hard. Don't want a set that's going to rust out on the bottom as I've seen with some. Any direction on brands and place to purchase them as well as any other useful install advice would be much appreciated!

I installed Westin's on my Mega. The driver's side took 40min. Passenger side took about 15min. I running factory tire size. Installed stock mudflaps purchased through Geno's.

How about retractable steps or bars? Have seen them advertised before but never actually seen any in person. Anyone have any experience with them?

jrogers,
Do those nerf bars have capped tubes or open tubes? 130 bucks seems pretty cheap for good quality tubes . . . How long you had them?

Westin bars with the mopar molded mud flaps will look the best.

Flaps and nerfs

I had the Mopar nerfs on this and last truck. I like them as well as any I have seen and they mount solid, better than most. They are up, close in and out of the way off road. A little higher than some, but worth it to me. I also have have Husky mudflaps that protect what they need to on mine with stock 17x8 wheels and 315s.

This combo has been on for almost 2 1/2 years now and I am still happy with both.

I went with the Westin Platinum series black powder coated stainless nerf/step bars and the Mopar heavy duty rubber flaps. The rubber flaps are wider and longer than the molded plastic units.

If I could figure out how to post a picture here, I'd do it. (any clues on how to post pics in a message?)

I went with Nasta nerf bars and hardwear are all stainless. As for mud flaps I've got Duraflap they are awsome they got the stainless steal weights.

I put full length Westin nerf bars on my quad cab......and then the bushwhacker extend-e-flares on my truck. I had wanted mudflaps as well but have not had the need really with the fender flares. You can see them in my gallery....a good bit wider than OEM but does not require any modification to truck and uses existing mounting holes and provided screws and clips.

I have been told that with the fender flares you can use the factory flaps but have to put front in rear and vice versa....maybe someone else can elaborate and tell if this is a true statement or not.
