Need some help quick!

A hotshotter friend of mine has some problems, he has a 2005 6spd with a Triple dog on it. Coming back from a load it started runnng rough and he said he had to stay in 5th gear to keep the truck rolling along. Checked his codes and he threw

P 2149 Fuel injector Group 2 supply voltage circuit
P 2146 Fuel Injector Group 1 supply voltage circuit
P 1652 J1850 Communication Bus

Trying to get an idea what is going on with his truck, if an injector(s) has gone south or what. If any of ya'll have had this problme please chime in with some info and advice please. I cleared the codes and started the truck, still ran rough but only threw the P2149 code again. Any help appreciated.

TIA,

Rick

Try taking the bully dog out of the truck and see what that does. Reset the computer by undoing the battery cables and letting the computer reset. Thats all I know to do buddy. Hope that helps

I'll be returning his truck to stock in the morning. He's pooped. I'm just trying to gather all the info needed to know what could be wrong. Hopefully its the programmer, but I don't think it would be the culprit of these codes.

May have a harness issue that is in the rockerbox/valve cover gasket. That is where the wires are that go to the injectors. Possible short/open issue there.

I had 3 cylinders not firing once. I was told to take the download out unhook both batteries and then tape the positives to the negatives and let sit for a couple of minutes. Remember to untape both sides before hooking batteries back up. After I did this all was well.

It did sound like it was missin on a couple of cylinders, so I'm hoping maybe the TD did the glitch and after taking it off hopefully will get better. Mark, he just got the truck serviced last week oil and fuel filters but I will double check that.

Has anyone had this cluster of codes pop up before?

Is that safe to do? put the positives on the negatives? I know unhooking the battery for a few hours will reset the truck.

^^my guess as well^^

pull the harness, and make sure each wire is going into the plug like it should. A little dialectric grease won't hurt either.

Reset first that is easy and maybe the fix. touching the pos and neg together releases any stored power in the ecm. Just make sure both batteries are disconnected first.

I believe they're talking about putting the positive and negative cables together, not the cables back on the batteries.

Gotcha. Checked everything out still no clue, either a injector, harness, or something like the camshaft sensor because it threw a 0341 camshaft performace code. Took it to the dealer.
