I run the sb ofe and love it. Rated at 450hp but many claim more. if you tow i heard the fe can be grabby and a pain to back up. Best bet is to get ahold of peter at south bend he can advise you of what will work best

I have the OFE also. Very satisfied, it grabs very well and pulls good. The FE would be even more grabby, if you tow alot you would get tired of the bucking. I would look at the DD3250 also, it would be a nice choice for towing.

Since the DMF will be eliminated, the extra dough goes into the new one and the hydraulic match kit.

Figure on $700+ whatever you decide.

I forgot to mention that my Wife drives the truck daily to work could be the reason why the clutch failed so fast

well, mileage and driving habits play a big role. The DMF isn't favored by many either.

So we can further help you, fill out your signature stating what yr truck and model, etc, current mods or relevant information you have.

I wouldnt recomend the FE for towing at all and I dont think think the OFE will be enough if you are goin twins in the future. Save some money in the long run and get a 3250 now and only have to do it once. If you try and save a few bucks now you will regret it later IF you do get twins. And your wife should be able to drive the 3250. JMO

I have the 3250 DD and it does tow nice. Little tricky off the line, doen't like downshifts to 2nd without a double clutch. If you have the G-56 they do rattle (even though they are sprung). Daily driver for the wife, they pedal pressure starts ramping up on you, and I would call the 3250 DD stiff. And as always reverse is geared too high, forces you to ride the clutch or put the truck into 4 low to control the speed.

I quess I should mention that I dont know super often but when I do it is usually fairly heavy, 20,000+lbs. The 3600 is no stock clutch but it is no problem once you get used to it and I would think the 3250 would be better. If I had to get another clutch it would be the 3600 or the 3850, but my gal wont ever drive my truck.
