Need a Leer Topper...Where should I go for the best deal???
Well I have decided on the Leer 100XQ topper for my truck. Now I know they are pricey. Where should I go for the best deal and the best service???? I am in the Kentucky area. But don't mind driving 300 miles to get a good deal. Leer's head qtrs. is around South Bend Indiana. I wonder if I could get a good deal up there???? Thanks for the help!

I think there is a Leer dealer finder at their web site. There usually is a $75 off coupon too for 100XQ there to print off. And I agree with your Indiana thinking, just get on the phone and start calling around. I found that the bigger the cap dealer, the better the price. Mine ran me $1300 installed, used the coupon, with interior light, carpet and screens. Nice cap, you will like it.

$1300 is a great deal. I just ordered a 100XL with carpeted headliner, 3 way power pack and Leer's New SS twist handle, with sales tax of $108 and minus the $70 coupon it came to $1427. The XQ comes standard with the headliner though.

Papa,
I called around and was quoted prices like that too, up to $2000. I bought mine in the Detroit area from a big dealer, they had it in stock in the right color. No one could touch their price. I think I called around a half a dozen Leer dealers in Michigan. You might also want to try the Columbus/Southern OH area, you might find a dealer there with some more reasonable pricing.

Hondo,
Yea I got lucky on the price. I wheeled and dealed with them on the price, they knocked a few bucks off for me as long as I paid cash. I guess it was in their inventory a little to long, and they wanted to move it.
And what is the 3 way power pack?

It is just a 12 volt plug box with 3 cigarette lighter type outlets for running 12 volt items in the back under the topper. It is about a $39 option installed.

Papaperk, let me know what price you get from the place in South Bend. I'd like to get the same top. A trip from Northern IL to South Bend may be in order. I've been getting qoutes for $1450 from all the Northern IL and Southern WI dealers. Thanks.

I just purchased a Leer 100XQ with the fold down front window and Yakima rack for $850 total. I bought it on the used market, 1 year old, perfect condition!
