I would say you are in just about the right area you should be? I would not say those numbers are to awful bad. What did bluechrome put down 633hp and he has more mods then you and some big sticks, Stage 3 cp3, and TNT R. I would say 500hp on stock sticks and cp3 is a impressive number but think you will need some stix's and cp3 to break into the 600's.

I am happy with the numbers. Just think I left a little behind by not having Smarty on 9.. Adding the TST HP kept going up and a couple people had said to keep going up on TST until you lose HP. I had not got to the point of HP dropping. There had to be 20-30 trucks at this place to dyno and I did not want to waste everyones time to change the Smarty to 9 which is what I really wanted to see what it would do.

There will be some adds coming as the funds allow.. small sticks, cam/springs, I would also like a rail press guage to watch where that is..

Thanks..

You do have the TST with adjustable timing right? If you don't, don't run the smarty with timing and the TST with timimg or your gonna melt stuff. Going to 1,0 on a non adjustable TST adds something like 12 degrees I think. So make sure your TST is set to 0 timing if you run timing off the Smarty.

Nice numbers btw, that's gotta be a good running truck.

I think you're about at the max for stock sticks and cp3. Throw an MP-8 or a little pressure in there, and you can squeeze a little more out for dyno runs.

I've got about the same setup as you, except with pressure in the mix.

I dynoed 558 hp Smarty beta 4.4 / TST 4/1 and MP-8 100% with stock sticks and cp3. Any higher on TST, and I was draining the rail so badly that power dropped off.

On the street, TST of 2/1 gives the most power simply because the rail pulls down so quickly on anything higher. The dyno runs are so short that you can bump it up to 4/1 for higher numbers on the rollers only. With the right tuning, 600 is probably possible with stock sticks/cp3, but that's about the limit.

With Stock CP3 and sticks...

The highest peak HP will be 03 twins program...auto 6 degrees timing 5-2 or 6-2 with the MP-8 on 50%...NO SMARTY. You can get 575 hp from that.

THE FASTEST your truck will be...with a big broad power curve will be all Smarty SW-9 and MP-8 at 50% (this is assuming older non adjustible 4.11 sw) with maybe TST 1-0 on 05 twins program and 3-6 degrees auto timing.

or

SW-5 and 2-0 or 3-0 TST (3-6 degrees auto timing) MP-8 50%.

Both of those will only make 550 hp...or so...BUT you will have over a 100 hp moe at 2000 rpms than the TST alone.

GET A PUMP and pm me back for tuning advice if you want.

cquestad,

Thanks for the recomendations. Sounds like they make sense to what I saw with my truck. Is the MP8 needed if running the Beta Smarty software that add pressure or is that if software 4.11 is used? Bob replied to me and said if I had used the Smarty on 9 it would have been another 25hp...

Sticks , pump and cam/springs will be added before I make another Dyno run..
Hopefully Revo will be out alos as the configurable options will be nice to help tune the truck right up.

Thanks Again, Jeff

You need a raqil gauge to make that decision for yourself...

I would say yes...but it might be as low as 15%...tune in max rail pressure to 25.5 kis and your golden!
