I think he has old Holley gas fumes built up in his head. Need to make the port bigger to get it all out.

Diesels have a dry intake (for the most part) and fuel delivery/timing depends 100% on the injectors.

Wasn't thinking straight got in to the wobblies hard last night. Saw the word cam & right away thought of naturally aspirated engines PS my kanuckle head hurts

I had no trouble cleaning out the intake side with my angle air grinder and 2", 4" and 6" grinding tips. I kept porting till all the runners felt the same diameter and were pretty much rounded. I took off pounds of weight not oz. There is no use making any part of the runners a larger diameter than the inlet or outlet...this would create turbulence. There were/are some huge restrictions and sharp edges and turns in the head that can be shaped and enlarged for better flow. It was fun but scary knowing you could fubar the head at any time. KS
