The tech at the Dodge shop said the DRB will not even recognize the PCM in the truck. My Diablo Predator fails to load the back up file and Dodge says it needs a new PCM for $1200. Does anyone know if Smarty or Bully can recover a blank PCM? I dont need my truck right away, but dont want it down for weeks either.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

 

Why don't you give Bob Wagner a call... google smarty power for his number unless someone else has it here really quick. He has been able to fix some of these issues in the past. Of course, in all fairness to Bob, it would probably be with a commitment to a smarty purchase. But that is between you and him... give him a call, tell him I sent you.

smartypower.com call the dude and do it right, he'll probably be able to help you. I've heard of similar situations and Bob Wagner getting it fixed, i dont know how but he does it.

Give buddy a call he can get it lined out as long as he has a vin# to go off of he can write a recovery file and get you up and running but good luck getting the service guy to turn his head as you load it back on the trailer and take it home and in goes a full right up to star about your problem and possible ecm tampering and no more warranty. Just deny deny deny and let them cover it if their dumb enough.

 

I just got off the phone with Bob. He is having Marco write me a tune and he thinks the Smarty can force a tune into it. He was all out of LTD 24k gold Smartys so I had to get a regular one

The dealer told me it will not work, I hope they are wrong. If it does not work, Does anyone know where I can get a quality used ECM from? I cant get it from work because it is a Dodge sold part. I have a Cummins P/N for it but it is listed as not for sale.

i have two ecm for the auto -so- just laying around the house if you end up needing a new one let me know and i can hook you up. i know new ones are rediculous $ and i have a six speed so i don't need them anyway, just been hangin on to them incase someone i knew had something like this happen to them
