Napa filters

Hey guys,
Long story short, Cim-Tek filter that came with FASS seems to be leaking (fresh install). I can't find a local dealer that sells Fleetguard. I contacted DPP and they're shipping me another filter...until that one gets here though (3 days) I want to replace this leaking one. Napa has an "equivalent" 10 micron filter, can I use that or are Napa's unsafe?

Thanks

I used to do a lot of my shops parts buying from napa and there parts were reboxed major brands , filters wicks - whatever , belts - gates , ect .
The idea was find a deal with a quality manufacturer and put in a napa box .
Been out of buis for a while and I now that things change , so what the policy is now with most of the world looking at short term profits is ???

Just checked on Wix's site....yup, they still make NAPA's filters. So is it safe? Can I use this filter without worry?

Wix makes some of the best filters for heavy duty apps. Most big industries wont use anything but Wix.

All of our construction equipment filters come from NAPA. I also get my truck filters from them also. In ten years no problems.

Thanks for the replies and reassurances guys. I bought the NAPA filter, put it on and leaking stopped! One thing about the NAPA filter...the o-ring just plain looks MUCH better than the CIM-TEK. The CIM-TEK was so flush it almost looked recessed.

I called DPP about this and they said they had a bad batch of CIM-TEK filters go out...and that's exactly what I got apparently. At any rate, the issue seems to be resolved and tomorrow I'm gonna ROMP ON IT!!!
