N-fab step bar modification

I am researching nerf bars/steps/running boards. I really like the look of the N-fabs, but i have read in several threads that they mount through the pinch weld, as oppopsed to the body mounts like the westin models.

My question...Has anyone successfully modified the N-fab to mount to the body mounts??? If not, would it be possible to do so?? i have never physically saw a pair mounted on a truck, therefor im not sure this modification is even possible.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

Have you considered getting some steps that just mount to the frame? I really enjoy my Ranch Hand side steps. Def. one of my favorite mods. I have literally jumped up and down on them individually (190lbs) and they do not budge. Simple, stout, virtually indestructible imo. http://www.ranchhand.com/Steps.aspx

I have the Frontier Gear which bolt to the frame. Tough and durable.

i liked them as well, but went with the standard nerf bars that bolt on using existing holes in the frame, for the reasons you mentioned. standard nerf bars give you a little more body protection, as well.
