My new stereo install
Thanks for the kudos guys, unfortunately little progress was made over the last couple of days other than I cut the baffles to mount the mids in the stock dash locations.
Bigdog - I really can't offer much more detail in the enclosure build other than the sizes as its just a simple plain sealed box. I used 1/2" mdf and put 3 layers of FG mat on the inside since I was trying to come up with the largest volume I could for this sub. Had I went with a 12" sub I could have just used 3/4" mdf and saved a bunch of work but...... I don't often take the easy route
and this 15"IDQ is my favorite sub of all time.
The front is 9" hight and the rear is 7"
Its 14.5" wide except the back 5" where the arm rest mounts and that I cut down to 13.5 wide so the hinges still worked nice.
The biggest pain was laying out the holes for the mounting studs so I could bolt it down to the stock seat brackets.
LMK if I can answer any other questions

Got to say i am VERY impressed with the wire layout and how clean it looks. Very impressive my friend. I love the sub, amp, and HU choice. The midbass not to famalier with (never heard it) and the tweeters and mids i have never even heard of. But keep up the good work!
Little progress today but not much to show
Got the 12g speaker wire run into the doors for the mid bass (not much room left in the plugs LOL)
Heres a comparison shot of the JBLs vs a MBQ Qline 6.5"

Hers a shot of the mounting baffles for the mids and the tweets I'm going to use

Thanks guys
HOBrian I really cant say what gains I got from just doing the roof as I did all of it at the same time but from my ears perspective I would put the order of importance
1 - doors
2 - floor and back wall seem to be tied
3 - roof

Well I guess a little late is better than never LOL
Heres a shot of those 8" JBLs mounted in the doors with the deadening done, layer of Second Skin SPL tiles and Luxury Liner pro on the outer skin and than a layer of BXT on the inner skin

Couple of pics of the tweets mounted in the pillars

Just in the initial tuning stages but so far I am pretty happy.
