I lost the cat, put a 30 inch MBRP in place of factory muffler. Love it, it will bark when you want it to, but no drone when towing or hauling heavy loads. passed the "wife" noise inspection too!

 

Leave the exhaust unless it's falling off, look at Donaldson or Nelson mufflers, pics and part numbers of mine in my gallery.

 

Magnaflow instead of the cat and a Aeroturbine instead of the stock muffler, sounds awesome, is a little louder than stock when cruising and sounds much better. Makes some noise when standing on it but definitely on the quiet end of the spectrum, sounds awesome and is extremely liveable for long tows.
