Thumbs up Muffler Delete

This is my first CTD.2007 5.9 A/T,4.10 Bone stock.Would like to delete muffler or install a straight thru muffler while keeping stock pipes. Will this mod cause a trouble code to be thrown.Where is the best place to buy muffler delete?

No codes. Buy one from Lary here at the DTR store. You'll get a discount for being a member. Make sure you call him to get your discount.

I just installed mine from Genos and the sounds is great. It is loud under throttle but at speed it quiets back down to stock.

They seem to give it a good tone, and fairly quiet at cruise speeds

I love mine. Got it from RPMOutlet.com. It's a bit short but it works fine. The sound is great...

I like mine as well. I've got a new rattle that just started yesterday I need to chase though. I suspect one of the band clamps or the hangar is loose.

Mine sounded good for the first couple days. Then I put my 26ft toy hauler behind her. HAHA, I unhooked and had the muffler put back in........

I haven't towed yet. I know the alignment and hangar positioning made a huge difference in the amount of drone. Now there is only a slight drone at 1400-1500 rfp.

I towed my trailer about 5000 miles this summer with no drone at all. I still have the CAT in place though.

I swapped my muffler for a magnaflow direct fit muffler. It is a stainless steel 4" straight thru muffler that uses the stock hangers. It is just a bit louder and it really seems to bring down the EGTs when towing. $250 well spent.

Be careful, I went for an inspection in Austin(yeah I know)TX, two days ago and DPS is now making inspectors check for a cat AND a muffler. This inspection shop will fail a diesel if there is no muffler, I couldn't believe it, but that's what I was told by the shop owner. He said that DPS is cracking down on modified diesels, we'll see!

I'm pretty sure the turbo counts as a sound dampening devise...
