I just added an MP8 to my truck. It's a GREAT combo. The MP8 gives this truck a gasser response. Anything over 40% and it's almost too sensative of a pedal while running SW7 and SW9...unless like giving your passengers whiplash

My favorite setting was Smarty 5 and the MP-8 at any level. Just twist for added boost!

I have run Smarty on 9 w/ the MP-8 at 50%. GREAT bottom end and midrange.

It is a really good stack. For 03-04 guys...you may still want the TST in the mix if you are shooting for the stars, but other wise it is a great 175 hp.

For 04.5 and up...it may be all you need. Add the right sticks...alla IMILLS..and you have 700+ hp.

GET IT!

so your saying a SMARTY and an MP8 will give you roughly 175...

so would a good tranny buld with TC and VB and billet input hold this type of combo reliably with no crazy stuff?

Yes...it should net 175 with huge bottom end. Smarty on 7 or 9 with the TS on 50% (stock injects, stock CP3, upgraded lift pump, intake, exhaust).

I converter/vb/ and "some" billet should hold. I guess I would start with the input...

my mods are listed and the tranny is getting done next month hopefully.

Thanks for the info, leaving you a green box in your usercp. haha...

Yeah I will be going with a goerends build with Triple Disk, VB, and the other tricks they like to do. Trying to not break the bank here. I do not want to do billet, but i guess it is better to do it now, then have somethin happen and then have to pull it out later.

My next question is how long will my stock auto tranny last? I will be upgrading to a built tranny . Who builds the best for the buck out there

I just got a Smarty and TST if I put the Smarty on 4 and the TST on 3/3 I can slip it pretty good. So if you use it "SMARTLY" it will last a while.

Well has anybody used both the smarty/mp-8 stack and then the smarty/dr. performance stack? how do these compare. It was said in earlier post that the dr. performace adds its pressure more gradual than the mp-8 so its a smoother stack. But if theres more low end performace from the mp-8, then who needs to be smooth? LOL

Honestly, even though it's a little ubrupt, particularly on a 6 speed truck, there's no benefit to gradually increasing pressure. I love the MP8 stack. I am not running more than 50-60% max, except for maybe on the dyno, until I get a DiPricol rail pressure gauge to be safe. Even at 50%, it's a great addition on top of the smarty. I have no reason or intension to ever change this stack. I am hoping to hit the dyno within the next 10-12 days and hopefully the track within a couple weeks to see how the stack, as well as my Silver 62, ATS mani, and 5" exhaust help with the smarty

I absolutly love them. mine are 35's but theres no road noise what so ever. Great tread pattern to. I've had them for almost 40,000 miles and the tread still looks pretty close to when i first got them, lol and i've been know to accidentaly burn out a time or to

Well thats great news cuz the mp-8 price is a little more appealing than the dr. perfromance one. Well looks like i found my next mod to empty my pocket to. I wonder if this will ever stop..... naw
