Question More low end??? Which module???

Hello i am a total newbie but have learned alot by reading this site regularly.

My question is which module will provide more low end? I have a tst r49, although it's currently off of the truck, but my truck doesn't pull until about 1500 rpm. Is there anything i can do to make my truck pull any better at lower rpm?....or is it more of an airflow problem? Thanks, Marty

Sounds like you need a pressure box to wake it up in the lower RPM range.

I agree a pressure box will help just keep an eye on the fuel pressure gauge

Ive got an mp8 stacked with my tst and its great. Another good option would be a quad xzt. My little brother has one stacked with his tst and it works very well too. I remember feeling the exact same way when I first got my tst. Just add some pressure, or a downloader, as they seem to have better low end power.

Keep in mind most will tell you a preassure box needs 2microns of fuel filtration to keep your injectors from cracking. GDP or FASS with the filters is what most do. Im not sure but I think you might even be able to replace your stock filter down to 2 microns.

Other than a preassure box your next best bet would be a Smarty or other downloader the disables the torque managment. I use the smarty on Wild Thing sw9 most of the time with the mp-8 @ 100% and it has plenty down there. I see alot ot people also tryin the predator/puck stack that are happy.

A VA 3.1 works well with the TST and is smoke free combo while towing.

My smarty has good bottom end with the TST also but the smoke is really bad especially while towing, painted my camper black in no time.

Don't know how much this helps with your particular set-up, but thought I'd chime in. I first tried a Puck with my Juice and it was really good down low, but seemed to do nothing near mid to top end. I switched to a Quadzilla Xzillaraider Race with a fuel only tune, and man is it awesome . Seems to have more down low than the Puck did, and you can feel it at mid to top end also!

well congratulations on the marriage and the aurora is up and running. I figured I would let your inbox cool down on the messages. it takes a bit to get it going but when it does it feels like its working the whole truck. I want to get it on the dyno again and see how it does.
