Question Is Mopar exhaust brake good?

My truck is still awaiting delivery. Should I try to order in a Mopar exhaust brake, get the dealership to put it on before delivery and roll the price in to my financing? Or is the aftermarket much better? Or is it wise to give the engine some break-in time before adding an exhaust brake?

Well it is not a Mopar part, if is made by Jacobs and has Jacobs name on it. Mopar is just endorecing the Jacobs part, yes it is good and worth it if you pull.

As was stated, the Mopar exhaust brake is an aftermarket part. I am happy with mine. There are no issues related to break in, you can install it immediately. Although it takes a few hours, the install is not difficult, the installation manual is by far, hands down the best written set of instructions I have ever seen. If you do it yourself, make sure you have jack stands of sufficient capacity since you will need to remove both front wheels and front wheel well shrouds. Also make sure you have ALL of the tools listed in the manual, you will need them.

Good luck.

Wouldn't drive without one. Hands down the best investment I've made in this truck so far...

Mine works great, and it's intergrated with the cruise.
