Momentary Powerloss?

Ok my truck was running great today. I was pulling my LQ trailer with 2 horses loaded running 75 up and down hills and even when I was only running 65 I only lost 2 mph on any hill. Until I noticed going down hill I was at 63 and I pressed on the go pedal and it didn't pick back up. It smoked a little and my injection pressure went down when I pushed the pedal down. I turned the Xzill. down and it didn't change anything. It still had enough power to keep going. I pulled over and checked under the hood. No visible problems. I hope back in and I think the power was back but I was still nerveous about it and I couldn't be sure if it was all back or not. I did get on it on a wet road with my load still on and was loosing traction in 3rd gear, but my confidence was still shot. Could this have been something in the fuel? Water, gunk, hay? Or could my CP3 be on the way out? My fuel pressure stayed the same the whole time. Quad any ideas?

What color was the smoke?

Was it smoke or haze?

Black. It was like it was just giving a little smoke with no real pressure on it.

The boost stayed around 18 even when I pushed the pedal all the way. I didn't pay attention to the egts to remember specific temps but I don't think they were high at all. It hasn't done it since, but I've also been looking for any problems so I can't tell if it was running like it is before or I'm just now feeling it.

Sounds like an electronic "hiccup" so far...

Try to reproduce the problem; if ya can't - no use worrying about it.

I've had many problems occur just once or twice and never happen again... machines DO have a soul
