hey guys, i took my mega cab up to tahoe this weekend. some friends joined us ford 7.3 owners. we got onto the subject of trucks and i started to hammer on the ford, we then decided to go out to breakfast and i went out to start the truck (loaded with smarty sw3) and it would just crank and crank, smoke like a banshee and a occasional cylinder would fire. i had to unload the smarty then crank for a while longer and finally it started but was running only on like 4 cylinders it had a huge miss and would pour smoke out the tail pipe. anyways im still up here and it starts really rough and shakes, any idea what it is some help please.

 

white smoke?? and a miss kinda sounds like a injector stuck...check your oil level...

 

ya like a injector stuck or a couple some white but alot of black smoke its all over the snow.

 

codes??? check engine light???

 

nothing at all checked everything

 

i have not replaced the fuel filter in a while maybe its clogged and not letting the cp3 get enough fuel.

 

well i put in the new fuel filter getting ready to start in the next couple minutes.

 

ok it starts way better and put the smarty back on and it does fine revs better smoother etc. gonna let it sit for a while. later
