I installed my mbrp duals today. I hope it's something that will go away but .... Mygod it sounds awful ,Like an overpowered ricer!!! anyone else senn this before? Don't know if it's got anything to do with it but that darn kitty ran away and I just couldn't find it

 

wait a couple thousand miles, it will fill full of soot/burn out and sound much better.

 

Mine sounds a little ricer like inside the truck, but outside it sounds a lot meaner. At idle it is still a little lame, but under a load it does sound better. I was suprised the 1st time my wife drove off in it how it sounded and how far away you could here it. Tac

 

I have their dual setup and I think it sounds really good, but I still have the cat on...I was considering removing it but I may not if that's why yours sounds like a ricer. Anyways, you can change the sound a bit by adjusting the tip, trying moving it out a little more if you have room.

 

i wasnt impressed until I drove through the neighbor hood in the middle of the nigth with the windows down.
