MBRP Muffler install

My stocker rusted out at the tailpipe flange so I got a MRBP replacement. I got just the muffler and it seems to be a little to long. Has anybody hung one, I assume they have, and should I just trim about 7" off the tailpipe so everything lines up right?

I had to trim about 3-4" off mine, just keep taking a few inches off at a time and fit it up. Mine could probably be 1-2" shorter but I can hang the tail pipe on the hangers with no issues. Think you'll like the muffler.

Sawzall makes things easy, started out with a regular hack saw and said heck with that

The extra length is there as not every application is the same; so you do have to cut some off. It is much easier to trim the excess than it is to get out the "tail pipe stretcher"

Yeah no big deal to trim it rather be long than short. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious. Thanks guys
