I tried a search and didn't find anything, not that it's not there.

I have an 03 HO with the Edge EZ (on setting 3) WITH the little brass "boost elbow" on the turbo (came with the kit, it makes the dump valve stay closed longer), hi flow intake, 5" Magnaflow muffler and just stuck a Aeroturbine on it. Talk about a big differance in tubo boost.

My question is this, what is the max boost this engine can take?

I went from about 30# boost on a long uphill pull to tagging the max on my gauge (35#) by just accelerating a little harder than normal.

I don't want to blow the head off my engine!!!!!!!
Do I need to drill the jet out a tiny bit that is in the little elbow?

Hummm, If this post should be in the performance section, sorry. I didn't think about till after the fact. Please move it if it should.

 

From what I have read here, you'll kill the turbo before the engine, 35 you will be fine, I think the stock aftercooler goes at 60 and the head gasket at 70, none of the #'s except 35 or 40'ish will you hit with the OEm unit.

I was heading to Kansas the day I got the truck from the exhaust shop, I didn't even have time to check the max pressures. Pegging the gauge without trying kind of freaked me out the first time it happened. I'm going to change the gauge out to a higher psi one, I'm wondering just how much is being boosted now.
