Mag hytech Front Diff Cover problem

Anyone else out there experince Rubbing issues with the Mag Front Diff Cover my Fins have excessive where and breakage, I have a Thuren Fabrication Lift 3.5 inch roughly. I am going to have and take a Di grinder and make it look pretty, and give it more clearence to make sure will not rub it has broken away a few fins and massively rubbed against it in other areas. You kind of figure the Co. that designs it would have taken these issues into consideration upon designing them?

I believe Tritont has the same issue but have not heard of any broken fins. The steering linkages are too close if the truck is lifted and the stabilizer is in the way. Tritont has the superlift dual stabilizer and is only able to run 1 shock unless he has a fix for it! Chime in Ty!

nope I don't. I have all three pans and haven't had any issues. The only problem I came across is, you can't use a dual steering stabilizer as the driver side shock hit the pan. I just went with one shock on the passenger side.

After replacing all the front linkage with Don's stuff.... I don't even need a stabilizer period.

mag-hytec supposedly fixed the problem with their front diff covers- according to them. i called them a few months back and that is what they told me-but i decided to go with the pml covers.

I suppose I could but, I'm not sure what hardware might be missing. I already sold the driver side shock and what I have is the center bracket and the passenger side shock. Send me a PM if you're interested.

If I were you though.... I'd get a single Fox shock from Thuren or someone that sells it. In fact, I have one that's brand new. I bought it from Don but never installed it cause I don't need it. He's linkage does the job just fine. If you want that one... I'm sure we can work something out.

I have a Kore steering stabilizer with a PML front cover, with stock suspension, and it gets a little close to the cover, about half an inch, but there are no signs of rubbing.

hope this helps

the Mag-Hytec's did have a problem but, it's was a few yrs ago. They've since redesigned them and no one should have any problems. It's gets real close but, no touch :-)

Mag Hytech Front Diff Rubbs Steering Big Time

I have a mild lift Thuren Fabrication 3.5---4.0 inches And I just came back from the Alignment Center 600.00 had to replace Pit man Link And Steering lower Arm Assembly.
I ended up just poping all the Fins potentially in the Way With A hammer, them Di-grinded it down. Still have to paint it now. What a Shitty Design. They offered nothing in return for there Piece of Front Diff
