Made my own homemade intake
Was doing some reading and decided to use the tips I read to make my own. Since my mustang was just sitting there i took the huge filter off of it since its new (not a k&n). Went and bought the PVC, fabbed it all up, sprayed it with some leftover high temp silver and put it on. I had the silencer ring and baffling removed before and thought it was pretty **** loud, but now holy cow sounds like i am on a runway ready to take off lol. Here are a couple of pics.

its off and zip tied, but the picture is a illusion cause its still like 4 inches away and not touching before i zip tied it. You had me worried, I thought i was losing my mind and ran out there to tie it up and realized it wasn't touching it at all lol. But like i said i just zip tied it anyways, thanks

See i just can't see spending that much on a intake right now, maybe when i am over 600hp maybe but i think this will do for the time being. I am trying to work with a guy that makes mustang intakes and see if he can start doing them for our trucks and maybe will be about 200 bucks cheaper than most.
You can also make a shroud out of bendable plexiglass, pick that up at home depot. Or use the stock box and install a pvc tube into the air pass. attach it with 3 screws then seal it with gasket sylicone then put your cone filter. Cut a window in the front of the box and remove the rubber 'flap' by the innercooler and have cool, fresh air coming in. I did this and then got a wild hair a bought an S & B off ebay cheaper than norm.
