Loudest aftermarket turbo.

I was wondering what is the loudest aftermarket turbo or turbos to buy. I want something that sounds like a jet going down the road. Or does anybody have a clip or sound file with a loud turbo??? My cold air intake and losing my turbo silncer going down the road just didnt cut it for me.. any suggestions?

If you really want to sound like a jet then you should consider this car. I think it might suit your needs/wants perfectly .

My Silver Bullet sounds like it's going to suck a bird through the hood when it lights lol. You can actually hear the turbo sucking air though my stage 2 AFE at an idle, this turbo rocks by far the loudest I've heard yet.

I have the ATS A 5k. And yes its loud!! If you want "jet" type sound it will give you what you are looking for. Although after a while you will want to put stock intake back on with stock filter to muffle it because its definately loud. Do keep in mind the A 5k could be considered a pig without a few other supporting upgrades.

I ran a SPS66 for about 8 months, followed by a SPS62 for a day and now the stock turbo, all through an AFE Stage II.

The 66 does sound like a taxiing jet on a runway. The 62 in comparison sounds like stock, and for the first two days I couldn't even hear the stocker after pulling the 62 out.

I think anything 66mm or bigger will give you what you want.

My Super B is way louder than my stock. Also louder than the Banks housing (I think that's what he has) on my brother's 02.

I have to agree that my Super B with my setup can really be heard. Along with an open exhaust, it can split ears at wide open throttle. It actually has made many a person pull over as I am accelerating past.

I think there are many variables here. An open exhaust and intake does wonders with any of them, even stock. The larger exhaust diameter will produce a deeper tone and let the turbo be heard.

My truck somewhat reminds me of a dump truck or garbage truck when cruising around town from my perspective. Friends say it has a very unique sound and will always hear me coming; both turbo and exhaust.

I have interest in that Silver Bullet turbo. I just can't tolerate a non-responsive turbo for the street. For example, I will roll into the throttle in second gear and light the tires with my turbo. This becomes less likely with a larger turbo. Someone tell me otherwise.

Almost impossible, IMO. The conditions have to be juuuuuust right. At least with my truck and the 66. I needed a downloader just to make the truck drivable.

The 62 may spool hard enough, but I had to pull it after a day. Seems something's not right, so I gotta send it back. Didn't even hit 40psi with it.

Now I'm running the stocker with my Smarty on 60 or 90. What a hoot!!! I'm breaking the 35's loose all over town. Sideways around on-ramps, you name it. It's so much more fun to drive I can't believe it. Maybe I don't have 500+ hp on a dyno any more, but it sure is way more entertaining.

Go for quick spool, not a big, laggy, loud turbo. You can always cool some more with NOS or H20/Meth. if you need it.
