LineX or Rhino
LineX or Rhino
I can get the Linex done for about $525 takes them 2 hours the guy said or Rhino for $ 489 , they want the truck from 8-5. Can anyone tell me which they liked better or just better product .
Everything I've read says linex is the better product as far as strength goes. I cant back that up with any evidence because I didnt save it but there were numbers and charts and what not. Haha.
That said, I bought herculiner and a undercoat gun from harbor freight and did the interior of my Jeep for 110 bucks and an afternoon.

i have the line-x in my truck and i wouldn't trade it for anything..can drive my sled in the back and the carbides don't even scratch it at all..i've heard stories of rhino liners peeling and flaking, never heard anything about the line-x as far as it not working or failing so i figured i'd get the line-x, and i'm very happy with it...
i am getting my truck Line-x tomorrow. They told me it will take about 3 hours and a price tag of $445.00 for under the rail. I checked out Rhino, to me the Rhino was not good quality, no where near as thick as linex and lots of drips and the price was pretty much the same.
Bed Liner
My Rhino liner is peeling and flaking, but I can take it back to the dealer that sprayed it, but I no longer living in that state and the Rhino dealer here said to bad. I would go with the Line-X.

I'm going w/ a Line-X this time around. I've had two Rhinos and was pretty disappointed in how fast the black fades and how easily a chunk got torn out when I had a skid of landscaping bricks loaded into the bed...

Go with Line-X. I researched Line-X, Rhino, and a few others.
Line-X stands out because it's a "hot" process, where the gunk is at an elevated temperature when applied. It cures in about five minutes and then is technically ready to go. (My local Line-X guy still recommended waiting 24 hours before "dropping any refrigerators on it", but said so with a chuckle.)
Rhino is a "cold" process; the stuff is at ambient temperature and must be permitted to dry/outgas/whatever for a few hours. That's why the Rhino guy needs your truck for so much longer, to make sure you don't damage the liner before it's hardened.
The Line-X also looks better because there's far less chance of drips and runs with the hot process. Basically where it sprays, it stays. Rhino has to be careful not to lay it on too thick or too fast, I'm told. My Line-X looks like a factory job... every little curve and feature in the bed is still visible, yet the stuff is plenty thick. It's beautiful.
Finally, WRT warranty issues, Line-X specifically says that as long as you have the original receipt, any Line-X dealer will honor the warranty.
$480 plus tax for my short bed over-the-rails. I'm absolutely delighted and would do it again in a New York second.

well ive had both line-x and rhino. As far as puncutre resistance the linex is more durable but items seem to slide.but the rhino is less prone to items sliding but softer material. as far as being heated. the rhino is not a cold process. i have a buddy that does rhino, thats where i got mine(free, thats why i chose rhino) and when he did it he showed me how hot it was. He sprayed some in a plastic cup to show me the color and it didnt take long for the cup to melt But alls that said, i like the line x, the slipping can be fixxed with a few straps
I just had rhino sprayed yesterday. Wish I would have seen this thread. There isnt a linex dealer around here anyway. My brother has had linex in his dirtymax since new its a '03 and it still looks good although it did peel up on one of the rails alittle but not bad.
welp, im in the same deal as xtreme said. My rhino is peeling some and took it to dealer and said to bad. (it was done somewhere in indiana before i got it) Unfortunately it was already in there when i got it. I had line-x in my 03 and absolutely LOVED it. As you can see by my sig, I hate this rhino liner...
