Lifting Front End 2"
the drop blocks drop your swaybar back to around the stock location- if you dont use them you put stress on the current links and they will eventually break. without those links you will have ALOT of body roll in the front end and its pretty unsafe i think
You really don't need the drop blocks, most of the sway bar links get bent when installing the spacers. Just unbolt the sway bar from the links when doing the spacers. It also makes it easier to install the spacers.

The 3rd gen links have a joint that wears out...........add a lift and it will speed up the process. If you actualy use your truck off road the link will bend.
Their are much better links to use that are adjustable such as these that I run.

At 9K miles I put a leveling kit on, didnt even install new shocks just the leveling kit. It rode awesome, I've put 30K miles on them (still stock shocks) and front ends tight as ever. Although now I'm taking them off to drop my truck down for racing.
Highly recommend the spacers like Sean lorenz sells. I have a couple buddies who did the level kit only and now have bent over endlinks. Spacers were $65 bucks and got them at the same time as the Bilsteins from Lorenz.
You only need either the adjustable endlinks or spacers not both.

So I looked up the Top Gun Customz 1.5" leveling kit for $92. Do you think I would need the drop blocks too? I only want 1.5" because I don't want the back squatting too much with my toy hauler hooked. $92 seems like a cheap and easy investment!
If you just put the 2" spacers on with stock tires and drive only on road you should be ok. If you put on bigger tires and do any off road type driving you will end of with bent stabilizer link rods and possible DW.
That is why a good full leveling kit contains springs, drop blocks, new bumpers and longer shocks.
Link rods after one bump with bigger tires even with new shocks.
