Leveling Kit not that Great

Just had a leveling kit installed today. I know its probably not the best
(I know) kit out there. Should have went with KORE. It is a Tuff Country. Don't laugh. Anyway, is there anyone else out there unhappy with theirs? The ride has changed... its a little stiffer. I had the shocks installed too. When I hit bumps in the road, I hear a thud sound. This kit seems really cheap. Is there something wrong here??? I guess you get what you pay for. Any suggestions? How hard are they on front ends, etc....

no idea on the ride.

If you have a thud, your lower shock mounts bolts may not be tight enough. Does it feel like it is coming through the floor?

It doesn't really feel like its comming through the floor, but you can feel it a little in the floor board. I have checked everything and all is tight and good. I can't figure it out. They guys who installed it at the tire shop said they have installed a ton of them, but yet it took them ALL day to get the coils out. WOW. Seems a little funny.

I had this problem. I have had the front suspension out many times with the various changes I have made.

They may appear tight, but the shock tabs did not compress against the sides of the shock. You may need to really torque it down or put a spacer on the bolt to close the gap.

I would check it again, you may even be able to shake the shock a bit with your hand or a strap.

My guess on what it might be. good luck.

Make sure the shocks are long enough. After my leveling kit, I had a little thud, but only when the front end decompressed all the way and I finally figured out that it was the shock bottoming out by opening too far.

OK. Tuff Country supposedly sent the longer shocks for the kit. How do I know for sure now that its installed?
