Exclamation Leveling kit

Hi all. I got some Cooper Discoverer ATRs 315/70/17. I went out and installed the leveling kit this morning. It seems that now I have like a "knock" if I cycle the steering hard right to left. Anyone have this? I jacked it up again and checked for slop, but couldn't find any. I want to get everything sewed up before I take it to get the tires mounted and alignment. Any help or comments would be appreciated. Thanks

try the bottom shock bolts, they need to be compressed a bit.

It would be good to know what you took off your truck to get the leveling kit in.

I removed the shock towers, shocks, unbolted the track bar and stabilizer links. Put the spacers in, and put it all back together. I had a friend come over and cycle the wheel, and it looks like the pittman arm has a tiny amount of play. It never made this "thud" sound before. Is it because of a different angle? Will this be corrected with an alignment?? Thanks again all... Here is a pic: Nevermind... Dont know how to get them on here...[/IMG]

It could be your track bar bolt needs to be tightened up a bit. Have someone watch that bolt while you cycle the steering.

Mine makes the same poping sound as yours does, its a combo of my crappy ball jts and the pitman arm, if you hit the pitman arm with your hand you can hear the pop from side to sidecomming from the steering box, you could adjust your slack out of it with the adjuster on top of the steering box. as for the ball jts, ill be replacing them after the snow melts along witht he front u axle u joints. hope that i got you pointed in the right direction with the poping sounds from the front end.

Hey all, When I got my tires mounted up, I had them align it, and now it doesnt POP anymore. I think it was just that with the spacers, the angle wasn't exactly right. It took a couple of cranks of adjustment at the alignment shop.
