Question leveling kit ?

Has anyone used a leveling kit for the front of your truck? I think it is supposed too raise the front end 2" . I have a chance too buy one off a guy I know , all four shocks, spacers and all for 175.00. Any thoughts or comments would be apppreciated. Thanks

My father had one in his truck when he had 35's on it. Worked great and made the font the same height as the rear. He removed it and put on a 6" lift w/ 37's.

I'm putting one on my truck tommorow along w/ 4 new shocks. There are two ways of putting it on. One way is to use a spring compressor(the easiest way), if you do that make sure it is heavy duty not a wimpy one. Or the second option is to drop the front axel, disconnect the brake lines and all that and then put the kit on.

$175 dosen't sound to bad at all. But then again mine was free so I realy can't say how much there worth.

[IMG] [/IMG] I used the Skyjacker 2.5 coils . They are very reasonable ( I paid $300 installed ) . I have the Warn heavy duty bumper (400#) and they leveled my truck great . They may be a little stiff if you do not have a heavy bumper . I also installed bilstein 5100s .

What does the kit contain. Do you have to relocate brake lines and stuf like that?

no need to take loose brake lines....take loose track bar, sway bar, upper and lower shock bolts,,,,drop front end down, take 3 bolts for towers out,,,pull out shocks, coils.put in spacers, back in shocks, towers, coils.hook back up sway bar and track arm.....done.........plenty of slack in brake lines........bama

A coil compresser is a big help . The new taller coil on the passenger side is difficult to get in , the driver side slips right in . I watched them do the installation .

Where was this? I come through Nashville quite often and would love to make a pit stop. $300 installed does not sound bad.

Do a search for a proper alignment shop first and save yourself the waste of time of worrying about DW.

Does adding the leveling kit create the death wobble?
