I think in most cases the computer will give a lamp out signal without the resistors. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I had a pair on my old truck and they lasted about six months before half of them weren't working.
IMHO, too expensive to keep replaceing.

The LED Bulbs sux. They dont reflect light in the housing as well as a regular bulb.

All you see is a red dot instead of a complete luminated lens and housing.

RECON has some new ones for the 3rd gens, look great. All my other LED lights are bright as all get out so I don't know how you can say they are not as bright as a regular bulb. I think they are brighter. The biggest thing is how many LED segments are in the cluster, I have seen plug and play replacement (ie, 1157) LED bulbs that did not have very many segments and are dim but you get what you pay for.

There's a lot of overpriced crap out there for led bulbs that don't last and aren't bright. There's also more to it than just buying a bulb with leds on it. You gotta get the right bulb for the job otherwise you'll end up with a red dot that doesn't illuminate the housing etc. I've had really good luck with autolumination's http://autolumination.com/ and I'm running their bulbs in everything interior/exterior except for my taillight bulbs. I've got spiderliteX2 leds in those. http://www.stylintrucks.com/parts.as...tfamilyid/1929 Don't forget you'll need some resistors.

The guys at the dodge dealer here told me that if I install LEDs in the front parking lights in addition to the rear, there is no need for the resistor. I haven't tried it yet so I don't know if it works. I need to take one of my led tails out and put it in the front to see if it works.
