Hello. I know I have read this before. I did a few searches, but could not find what I wanted. I have a K&N full intake fit. I have read that it does not filter well. I have also read that Amsoil makes a filter the same size, that I can just replace the K&N piece with. Does anyone know the part number I want? I want that and a pre filter for it, going on a vacation soon w/4-wheeling invvolved.

K&N air filter number RC-4780= amsoil filter number EaAU4095

 

Radical!!! thanx 53Willys. After looking here I did a search on TDR and found the thread I had. But I am glad you replied because the other thread said to use the EaAu4090.

Did you do this set-up on your vehicle?

 

No, I am runing the Intake in my sig with Amsoil 6080.....

the only difference between the 4090 and the 4095 is the over all length. I have the exact set up you are looking to make and I used the 95 and with the filter minder in place, it just fits.

 

I too was concerned with the quality of the K&N filter and replaced it with an Amsoil. I am actually running the 4091, very similar length, but more of an oval shape if you look at it from the base. Fit inside the heatshield well, seems to be working very nicely thus far.

 

Well... Just so you all know.. Amsoil & Injen have teamed up and will be making intake systems coming out this December.. For Cummins it will be the 03+ trucks for now and they will release a 94-02 model soon.

It will be a injen aluminium tube.. amsoil EA filter and a screen pre filter

 

I found the page (PDF I think) that lists all the sizes. Good information. I checked out the 4095 & the 4090. One has more filter on the end, the other has a rubber piece.
