I have also been holding out for a turbo and was hoping something would be released soon.

Is this the Hybrid that Laredo Performance talks about on their web site? Are you gonna offer a ball bearing version?

I've tested 3 different versions of the '55. All from Good to best.

I'll come right out and say,, Holset is really screwin' us over with some of the rare parts we need for the '55's, which has really put a damper on our testing of different variations of the '55's.

In 4-6 weeks I will have one of J.R.'s more streetable '55's in my twin setup on my 4x4 12V. I can give you some feedback of how that setup runs.

As far as reliability off the '55. So far, only one failure 2 years ago. That was at 4,500RPM and 80PSI boost. (Plus, My 12V ate a rock,(That would be two failures?)

These '55s are working very well, but like J.R. said. We need to get some time on the testers, and Holset is not cooperating.

Good things come to those who wait....

This will be one of the toughest, highest HP single turbo out there. Of the 15-20 we have out there, no truck has dyno'd less than 506RWHP, we have been over 700RWHP on the dyno.

Give it some time fella's. With the better flowing 3rd gen heads, and the ability to spool-up the turbo's better than any Cummins before (stock), the '55 should feel like an HX-40 on a 2nd gen.

Still been around.. Just not on the internet.

Trying to get both my trucks running again... Seems like they are down All Day Everyday. Money is tight, but life is fun. (Would be funner with more money, LOL )

Take care bud. and, yah,, those '55's are still getting driven everyday....

No declassified information available yet, although there are two different turbo's in the shop, and on the road getting tested.

Setbacks with my trucks, and other trucks we are working with are really slowing testing down, but motor longevity is not of key importance when pushing the limits testing new stuff....

We should have some new information in not too long, that we can let out.

Thanks,
Merrick

I don't know if J.R. considers me a "tester"but I've had a medium 55 of his on my 12v/auto for a month or so.I have nothing but good things to say about it.Spools hard at 2200 rpm,is making 45-49 lbs of boost with my 180 pump and .022 dvs.
So far sled pulling I haven't got under the charger once,it hangs on like mad.
I'll be heading north soon to visit the same dyno I ran the truck on in feburary with the B1-2 on it,I'll post the results as soon as I can, they will be interesting.
