ISB valve covers

Has anyone tried putting the red ISB valve covers that Cummins shows on the RV engines on a Dodge ? Need to look close tomorrow ,maybe they won't clear the hood . Sure does look awesome though !!

Yeah that is sweet !! Talked to Cummins dealer today about height ,would it fit ,etc..... Dude had no clue ,gave me part # and said 93 clams . I called Cummins direct ..........only made in black now ,like the one you showed and it MUST be a common rail cover . Told me it would fit and clear the hood though . Checking with dealer soon ,don't want DC to have any leverage on a warranty denial !!

you wont be able to use the valve cover , what you dont see is that the cover in the back side has a oil drain on one side and a breather hole in the back , this valve cover will only work with the gear train in the back of the motor , and your valve cover on the dodge has the breather built into the valve cover itself . totally different .

that pic is NOT a common rail though . Cummins swears it will fit and clear the hood. Guess I will have to be the guinea pig .

That pic that Nickleinonen is showing is a common rail EGR engine that is use in the medium trucks . and yes the cover will fit , but it wont function

you gotta remember , the CR engine that is use in the medium truck is not like the Dodge engine , the gear train is in the back of the motor along with the CP3 high pressure pump .

Are we back to the breather at the back of the cover problem that Vaughn had with the one he was working on?

next time i go to cummins, i'll figure out what price i can get it for, and if it is reasonable, i will get one [canadian prices are different -usually more than us prices] and figure out some sort of breather setup...
