Get back on ebay type in S&B Intake and buy that. Outlaw diesel in California has the whole intake plus cleaning kit for 180.00 plus NO shipping. I just got mine in and it is not to loud and does the job.

 

I seen that, I'd like it nice and loud and I'm torn between s&b and a little bling w/ a big honken air filter tough choices in life. Maybe I'll be the guinnie pig

 

I used to run that exact same intake on my 03.....I believe it is a MAC intake system. It was loud as h e double hockey sticks.....

It was actually a little too loud for my liking, so I sold it to my cousin who is still running it on his 2004.5

It was a fairly simply install & as stated before, it will wake up the turbo whine....for sure

Is the Mac system turbo whistle louder than the current AEM bruteforce your running? Just curious.

 

My personal opinion is that yes the MAC system was louder than the current custom system that I have.

Well for anyone that cares I got the Mac intake and all I can say is holy friggen loud from 7lbs of boost up this thing sounds like an F-16! The fit was a bit off but nothing to serious and man does it look good. I think there is a little more bottom end but I put the VA on level 3. I'll probably put in a Amsoil dry filter in the future but this one is good for now. I raced a early 2000's mustang GT today, he got me off the line but I pulled on him. This thing drounded out his 3' duals!
