Installing double din navigation in a 04 dash?

my buddy gave a me a kenwood DDX-7015 in-dash double din navigation DVD system. i was wondering if they make a kit to install it into the 04 style dash? the screen is 6.5" wide and 4" tall. has anyone installed one and what is needed to install it? my truck didnt have factory navigation just the regular cd player.
thanks,
matt

To put a double din in a single din spot, is a custom application. You will have to cut the dash opening out and make it fit. There is enough room to pull it off though.

The only double din dash kit I found for the 04s are on ebay and they are out of Germany so I don't know how legit they are, I had mine custom made and it turned out decent, it looks clean in my opinion but not as nice the 06-present trucks look.

An audio shop by my school did the work for me, i'll post some pictures Friday, my trucks in the shop for some body work, we had some high winds around here and a roof tile landed on my hood and put a few dents in it.

Theres something about the space on the sides of the Nav. Maybe some fake wood like the 06 models would help.
