installed fass...truck wont start??
well i installed my fass tonight and we primed the fuel system and my truck ran it was idling good and everything seemed fine so i shut it down and when i went to go start it back up it wont start, the fass is pumping we primed it a few more times and still wont start but it trys to every once in a while. i cant figure it out...and i dont kno what my fuel pressure is becuause i had to use that other fitting for the fass on the cp3 i will have the fuel pressure sensor back in tomorrow though..did i screw somthing up... also on one of my push locks was a spring, i have no idea where it was supposed to go so i have that left over and i was starting to think that maybe that has somthing to do with my problem?, i didnt see anything in the instructions to do with that spring.
Do you have the FASS or just the HPFP?
Did you get it new?
The spring is a concern. If you have the FASS then take out the fitting on the end for the bypass return(this line goes back to the tank via the filler neck) There should be a spring and a small rubber ball behind the fitting. Verify these are in place.
To prime:
Disconnect line at CP3 and put in a clean empty 2 liter bottle or similar.
Turn on the key and bump the starter so the pump cycles. Cycle the pump till yet get a constant supply at the bottle. If it doesn't start pumping after about 2 cycles(you can hear the pump catch and start moving fuel) then loosen the primary filter(not the water seperator) and when the pump catches quickly tighten the filter.
After pumping about 1 liter into the bottle reconnect the line to the CP3.
Cycle the pump once more and the truck should start right up without missing a beat.
If you already tried to start the truck and it died after priming the system as above it should start up, but may stumble for a second while the air cp3 and injector lines purges out.

i bought the fass 150/150 1007 brand new...i ended up getting the wrong instructions to begin with and i didnt get to fuse tap with mine or a little rubber ball that goes with the spring,,,also which line do you guys crack on the cp3, i was cracking the return line?
Did you keep the stock filter in?
If you did then the line in to the filter is what you should have blead originally.
If you've run it out of fuel then the line from the bottom of the filter housing to the CP3 is the supply line that you disconnect and bleed.
If you bypassed the stock filter housing you will bleed the same supply line at the CP3.
The FASS doesn't normally come with any extra springs, the spring and ball come installed. If you have an extra spring I would verify that you have the bypass return ball and spring in place.

i have by passed the stock filter housing and i have checked and i have lots of fuel to the cp3 but i now noticed that it has a white puff of smoke everytime that it trys to fire is that just from excess fuel in the cylinders?
