Install switch?

Just installed a VA3.1 on my 04.5 QC, 48RE, manual transfer case - looking for a place to install the in-cab control switch that is accessible, but allows the switch to be easily removed without leaving a tell-tale hole in the dash/kickpanel/console, etc. Managed to get things set up to this point so that I can remove the box and wiring into the cab in 10 minutes or so, doesn't make sense to do that and then hard-mount a toggle switch in the cab. Anyone done this, or have any ideas?

Use the lower corner of the panel below the steering wheel. It will be really hard for anyone to see and still easy to reach while driving.

Take the ash tray out and mount your switch in there. If you ever need to, take the switch out and replace the ash tray and no one will be the wiser.

That's where one of my switches is going in the future.

I second the ashtray idea. Pull out the insert and any holes you drill will be covered up when you put the insert back in. Plus if you do it right you can probably still close the door and hide the switch in case anyone else drives your truck.
