I think w/ the release of the PoD for the smarty you can afford to go w/ the bigger sticks and just turn the power down for daily driving

Soon...proof will be in the pudding.

I had a massive wastegate issue at Bully Dog Days...basically it was stuck wide open. I could not get ANY spool similar to street testing. I only had a short burts to high 60's right at the end of my run...say 3500 rpms when I dynoed 760 and was WAYYYYYYYYY smokey. My truck on the street is CLEAN after spool (say 2000 rpms all the way to 4000) up to 87 psi.

Soooo...do the math. I left 17-20 psi on the table...did not clean up...way late spool...etc etc. I am fairly confident.

I have hit the wall at 87 psi on the street with the cooling system issues that I have resolved with Opie's kit...and could tune the TST more now.

Kill settings to date hitting 87 psi ARE A MODEST TNTR SW7, a lil' MP-8 and 2-0 on the TST 05 twins program.

I have played briefly with 4-0 on the TST and in seconds the truck launched so frigggin hard that that the motor twisted so far over my exhaust pipe bangs the tranny cross memeber and 1.5 gallons of coolant belch out in seconds.

Both problems fixed...wastegate fixed...ready to set records!

Sounds good cquestad!

Are running Flux 3.3's?

The boost levels indicate some serious potential power!

Yep...still the original ole' hellfires!

Maybe the 50k on them have naturally honed them out a little!

I am not sure of you milage but I remember posts indicating that you are well over 100k, maybe 130k? And I know you talked about chainin you motor down but how didi the motor mounts look? When you fixed the problem did you put new mounts in?
Just curious

Thanks onetun...

I have a ~152K ON THE TRUCK.

I have not done anything to the motor mounts YET. I might when I go into the left lower side again.

I dont know how long they are suposed to last but I thought that COULD be part of the problem.

cquestad, I see that you have 152K miles on your truck. That makes me feel a little better about modding mine. My '03 has 154K.
