I am contemplating going for some lower power enhancements for minor performance and better mileage. I am looking at some of the specs on boxes and tuners and looking at something along XZT towing module or an adjustable box or tuner and then run at the 50-70 hp level.

I have seen some of you are running injectors that say 50 hp or 90 hp, etc. I have a local performance shop offering a special on 50 hp injectors with a Pyro.

The questions I have is what are the benefits of a box/tuner over putting in different injectors? Or is it better to go with the injectors over the box/tuner?

I am totally new to performance issues as this is my first diesel. Keep in mind that I am looking at only the lower level for towing and mileage increases. TIA

 

Guess it depends on how much you want to spend. A set of injectors is spendy compared to something like a Quadzilla XZT that can be had for less than $300 on this website.

From what I understand, you will need a mild pressure box of some sort to get the most out of aftermarket injectors. I'd save up and buy both.

 

if all you want is upt to 100HP more and thats it then just get the Quad std box. if you want more then for sure call DDP and get yer injectors honed. I love the box w the injectors. Im at the point now where I need tranny mods and a bigger turbo just to use all the power I have now but it runs awsome and i tow a 10 000 lb trailer with no problems (box off)
