Injector sounds????

I am not sure what I am hearing, but there is definatley something. Maybe I just didn't notice it before but let me try to explain it to you guys. When I start the truck and let it idle it kinda sounds clickity. Will do it from a stop under lite throttle but go away. Truck idles smooth and still performes good. No codes at all. Smoke is what to expect with my mods. Black grey smoke but no noticibe white smoke from what I can tell. Seems to be more noticable since I elemenated the muffler. I have not checked the oil level or for any indication of fuel in the pil. I will do that tomorrow. I had my valves adjusted about 10k back and the truck has 73500k. Should I need to worry. Can't really explain the sound any other way.

Timing rattle maybe? I am running Smarty sw7 timing 3. I was considering going to timing 4 since i heard it will spool my twins faster and the fact I have 90's for injectors and because when I spray the meth that adds timing. I will post a seperate thread for the smarty setting.

I posted about the same thing on mine. The consensus was it was normal... But here is a link to that thread.

2007, you use timing 4 setting correct, at least I thought you said it once? What everyday driving timing are you using? Given my mods, what would you try for every day vs dyno?

Yeah Duk....for everyday driving, I use SW#7 TM-4, TQ-2 RP-3, this is a killer DD tune, lots of spool and great RP for fast response. I would suggest running this set-up and dial back as needed.

I ran ddp nozzles for a short time and removed them because of the fuel rattle they had. maybe it was timing not bashing on dynomite either they make nice stuff but the F1s seems to be quieter in my truck
