Injector rattle???

Been running the Quad ZXT tow module for about 20.000 miles . From the start I have been experiencing "injector rattle" with the module installation. Friday the thing quit on me towing a load over to a gas well in Kentucky.Removed the module and proceeded down the road. There is stilll some kind of rattle, I would assume it be gone since the module is off. Can anyone tell me whats going on ?? Is it the valves making noise { manual says you can't adjust them}Any help appreciated.

The injector rattle is due to the advanced timming from the quad box. Too much rattle is very obvious, it will sound like an rod knocking, anything else wont hurt its just more niose. The valves can be adjusted, but timming rattle has nothing to do with them. Try and contact quad about the dieing problem he will get you fixed up. I would say you probly just had a loose connection, try cleaning all the connections with some electrical cleaner, and see if it happens again.

The injector rattle noise was evident with the module on. The thing is when I removed the module it had the same sound causing me to think it might be a valve adjustment issue.I will do a valve adjustment and see what happens. If after doing the valve adjustment and the rattle still exist what would be the next recource {have the injectors tested or replaced}??

I have had this injector rattle for a while now but its not from timing. You can run the X2 stack program only and you will still get this noise. I have alrady adjusted my valves and I still get the noise. I still think my problem is the CP3 pump because pressure effects more then timing. I not worried about the noise its just annoying.

That's just it its annoying. What gets me is that the rattle is still there when I remove the module. Like you said it could be the pumpAnd you said you did a valve adgustment and it didn't help. I've got extended warranty I'll pull everything off and take it to the dealer.

I had an injector rattle on my truck and then 10,000 miles later the tip come apart. I was running the bullydog and edge stack which was way to much timing and it cracked all six seats in my injectors. Timing rattle from an injector is NOT GOOD!

If I'm running a program with no timing then its not timing that causing the problem. I have already replaced my injectors with F1's so I'm not worried about the tips breaking or cracking.

This noise is not a timing noise. A noisey knocking diesel is nothing new but this noise is not something you can't get used too. The guys that keeping saying is fine you are not talking about the same noise we are.
