?Injector install?

I am going to install my headstuds and injectors next weekend. Ive got the headstuds down but any advice or tips on the injector install would be great. I guess you pull them and just replace the tips. Pretty straight forward but they came with no instructions at all. Thanks for the help.
( the more detailed advice the better. )

When you put your injectors in be sure and run the torque sequence. I forgot the numbers maybe somone else will know, but be sure and do it, so the tubes dont leak on the side of the injector.

it goes somthing like...

1: tq inj to XXin lbs
2: tq tube nut to XXft lbs
3: tq inj to (higher)XXin lbs
4: tq tube nut to (higher)XXft lbs

Im sure somone with the correct #s will chime in good luck.

Yep, there also is a tool to swap them out, Ive seen it on a few of the parts websites, I think!? Piers has one...
Makes it easy to pop them straight up and out.

There's a good link off Glacier Diesel's site for injector swap instructions. Once you're at the stage to install studs all you really need to do is pull the rail, connector tubes, and injector hold down block to get the sticks out.

I was thinking also that the injectors had to be turned a certain way for the fuel atomization. I could be wrong, but It seems like I read that somewhere. There is a really good detailed sight with pics on here somewhere, someone will probably chime in and add a link to it. I forgot the web address.

Injectors installed correctly only go in one way. It is possible to install them backwards and drive the connector tube into the side of the injector. Just make sure the hole for the tube is facing the tube, when you install them.

The spray pattern is not affected side to side when modified, as the holes in the injector are evenly spaced. It is the angle of spray up and down that is changed(how broad or narrow of a pattern). The best way for me to explain it is, when you adjust a Maglight flashlight to spot beam(narrow) or flood(broad).

Its a good idea to have them all flow tested before installation. For peak power utilisation they all need to flow the same, most companies flow test them when you let them install the tips.
