Question I'm thinking about getting a Tonneau cover.

I'm considering the access soft cover and want to know if anyone has had this cover. I would go with a roll n lock or pace
edwards but I also plan on an aux in bed fuel tank in the future.
thank in advance

If I were to get a cover other then a full topper, I would go for a roll and lock. I think they look better then a hard Tonneau, and they're more convenient in terms of flexibility of what you can do with the truck.

I've got the Access Cover Limited Edition. Works great. Take a look in my gallery for photos.

Good Luck.

I've had the Access cover for over a year now. Its nice because the crossbars roll up with the top and the sides are velcro. If you pull a 5er its the best ever. When you get to where your going just unroll it and your box is covered up again...........

Another nice thing about it is it has a cover adjustment, so when the top gets loose from winter to summer you just give the two wheels a couple cranks and the top is tight again.

Would I buy one again? In a heartbeat.

I had the Access Roll up cover on my Dakota QC, yes I loved it.

But now I have the hard folding toneau cover and I love this even more
I have a 5VR and tis cover is GREAT
All I do is fold it up to the front and lock it down to pull the 5VR. Then when I get where I'm going I can unfold it and completely conceal whatever I put in the bed. I also have the Pop-N-Lock Electrick Tailgate Lock that with this combonation I can lock the bed and store stuff in there.
This Fold-A-Cover will also work with the Transfer Flow or any other brand of Aux fuel tank that is designed for Tonnuea covers. The front will fold back for access to the front of the bed.
I believe I have a few pictures in the members gallery

I love those things. Everybody is always talking about them. I think they really set the truck off quite nicely.

It only took APC 8 months to correct their oversight and then DC made a fix to the computer to correct the same problem

I have the Access Larado roll up cover and I really like it. It is the lower profile version of the regular Access cover.

I have never had a bad experience with a cover, but a friend of mine bought an Extang cover and it never fit right and he didn't get all the parts the first time.

How much do those roll up covers cost? And do they give you any better mileage? Joe Z

I got mine delivered to my door for $349.99. That was the best price that I could find and that is for a 6.3 foot bed also. I seen prices on the net all the way up to $450 for the same cover. Shop around.

They definitely help your mileage out. How much? Hard for me to say. I put mine on when the truck was only two weeks old, so my mileage is still going up from getting broken in, but I would conservatively say about 1 mpg for highway use, slightly less for city use.

The newer roll up covers really look sharp. Way better than the old snap on versions that had to arch up over supports that looked like a covered wagon on the back of your truck.

I have/had an access cover on my Chevy and took it off before I bought the CTD. Won't fit of course, so if anyone has a chevy they need an access cover for.... let me know.

I have a truck accessory business (albeit very small) and have tried other soft tonneaus before. IMO, the access cover is the best for soft tonneaus. I will have another one for the CTD. The fact that it is so easy to put on in the winter alone makes it worth the money. Those old snap covers are ridiculous.
