I'm not so sure anymore

After all this bashing about the predator I'm not sure I made the right choice. I bought the predator the other week for when i get home from Iraq in march. I bought it because i have read how good it stacks with the edge juice. I was going to get an Mp-8 in a couple of months, but mow I'm thinking I should sell the predator and buy the mp-8 right away. I know I'll loose some money on it but if it is going to ruin my truck i don't want it. I'd love to give the smarty or smarty junior a try but I do love my edge. If would sell it I would have to buy gauges and everything to monitor the smarty and it would just be too much money right now so that is out of the question right now, maybe later down the road

I haven't tried a predator, so I can't say if what I read is true.

I have had great experiences with a my Ramifier and later MP-8 on my '03...

I don't think it will ruin your truck if you use it judiciously. Heck, even an EZ can kill your injectors. It's all in the operator's hands.

Love mine as well. The problems you hear about the predator is mostly about the ones made for 06 07.

Good maybe I will keep it then, I'm still going to get the mp-8 later though. Who all has the edge/diablo pred stack and how do you like it? What kinda power is this putting out. Has anyone seen a milage increase with it?

I have read lots of bad things about the predator for the 06 07 trucks. But personally I haven't experienced any problems at all with it. I tried a smarty and my truck liked the predator better so thats what I still have. Just my .02

I had the Dr. Predator and I took it off right after it screwed up a few injectors...Ditch it if it is a Dr....BTW that was after the predator was sent back for an update that was supposed to prevent injector damage...
But it did make a noticable difference in power...

We need to meet up sometime. You are just in the G-burg and I can take you for a ride and show you what a MP-8 does to the Hot Juice

Please learn from my mistake and stay away from the Predator. You can use my Smarty and see how you like it also. I dont run it hardly, I save it for competition.

I am usually in G-burg on the weekends, thats where my family is and where I grew up.

Its not that the smarty wont work with the edge it just doesnt add anything. I still ran the gauges for quite a while before I sold the edge and used just the tst. But the smarty will be alot hotter that the edge is so you would still be better off with the smarty mp8 combo I think with just the edge for gauges until your ready to switch to the commander or mech. gauges.

Alot of people have trouble using downlaoders when they switch from one to the other. My personal opinion would be to select a DL and stay with the supporting mods for that one rather than switch around. Ive seen a few locked up or burned ecms from mix and match DL's. But then again some people switch from CL to smarty all the time. ?????

dodgecowboy,

I'm looking at your sig. No Turbo, No fuel system upgrades but you want to stack programmers. Your worrying about negative comments about DiabloSport, heck at least those guys answer the phone to help with problems unlike most others. I'd be more worried about not having a 2 micron filter setup to help your injectors. ...................... SAVE FOR A TURBO, it will make better power and your truck will love you for it. Everyone dogs the Flashpaq until I tell them I put down 550. The member above is right, too many guys screw around with mutiple downloaders. If your Juice w/Att runs good don't mess with it. Go for more mechanical power Turbo, Injectors etc..........
