You know, every year I get dumber and dumber!! I put my Edge EZ on about a week ago. I immediately adjusted the box to the highest setting just to see what it felt like. It didn't feel like anything had changed. I adjusted it to the third power level and now I could feel some power, but not really overwhelming. I was very disappointed. I called Rod at Wildcat Diesel and he gave me the number to Edge to call them to see what was wrong. I never did call them but I went out this morning to try one more time. I set the box to the lowest setting and WHOA NELLY!!!! There is the power I was paying for. Had I paid closer attention to the instructions I would have realized that the diagrams for the power adjustments show the box upside down!! I was actually starting at the lowest settings and not the highest!!

God, I hope it doesn't get much worse! I am also having a hard time fueling up as the fuel nozzle doesn't fit into the radiator very well......

At least tell us you have been putting the tranny fluid in that filler tube by the rear wheel on the driver's side.

 

My "older" friends tell me that it does not get any better. :

 

Gosh, Now I'm wondering if should always be driving with the floor selecter lever in 4 low. The truck's pretty slow and my mileage seems to be pretty low but I just figured it was normal... :

I have found the most profound influences on us are the ones that we find out for ourselves. We could have told you this repeatedly (which we have wanted to do and have restrained ourselves with great effort) and it would not have affected your life as much as this "self taught" truth has done. Is there any danger to the truck or is it much harder on the engine to run on the highest level? How many levels are there? I heard they had 5 or 6 to start with but then they stopped making the 5th and 6th level?

What does the EZ increase, timing, pulse, or rail pressure?

What the EZ increases is the probability you will be looking at little blue lights flashing in your rear view mirror from a car that has Sarasota Police Department on the side.

Per Edge themself, they say it raises fuel pressure. The settings are: The
power levels are 35,45,60,70 hp and 150,180,200,220llbs of torque.

You really feel it at WOT. During normal driving I really don't feel much difference from stock. :- It's great on the highway too.. I don't think I could hurt the engine with the EZ box but as we all know, if you drive like an idiot the trans may need some help in the future. :'( I for one plan on driving normally and never using my newfound power!

 

As a new owner of an EZ I for one am glad you posted your findings as now I don't have to make the same mistake. Now all I have to do is wait for the DHL guy to show up.

So DodgeZilla, no wonder that 47RE has been holding up OK. I've been watching your posts since we have the same set up, but I'm still on the fence whether or not to get the EZ. Keep up the info. I want the EZ for towing mostly. It's fine the way it is empty....Thanks,.
