Ideling the truck?

my truck idles alot here in Alaska during the winter season.. HALF THE YEAR !! lol
Ive had no ill affects everyone idles there trucks here..

I'd be very interested to know how idleing in arctic conditions could cause bent valves???

and I know lots op idleing truck up on the north slope...

I've been told it isn't the ideling its starting them back up if you accedently shut them off that does all the damage. the engine cools down fast when its -50.

I Idle mine all the time now that its cold mileage dropped maybe 1/2 mile.

They warm up quicker inside if you blow the a/c on hot/vent recirc. Still takes forever tho. Best is to just let all the fluids get movin and go for it
