I have decided that since I dont town anything with my truck to amount to anything, I would like to purchase a set of extra wheels and get a set of these tires mounted on them. I just think my truck would look good with them. It would look almost mean!!! I think I have the better part of a set of wheels tracked down. I JUST HAVE TO GET HIM TO GIVE ME A PRICE. He knows who he is. My big question now is, how wide of a spacer will I need to fit these? If you know please chime in. I would like to purchase everything and have it waiting for when I get them mounted. These tires will onlu be on the truck a couple weeks at a time also. I just want the look. Also, if you have one extra dually wheel for sale, I would be intrested in buying it! thanks guys.

 

I had 31x11.50x15 LTB's on my 87 dodge raider which weighed 2800lbs. After setting for a few days the tires would have flat spots on them. You put roughly 4400 lbs on the front tires and around 2800 lbs on the rear and you will def. have flat spots. I would switch them out onto my old 99 model GMC Yukon and they became very spongy when at highway speeds. Lots of sidewall flex. You can do what you want but I would stay away from LTB on a big truck like that. I would however feel comfortable with TSL radials. Just my $.02

Oh yea, this wont be my first time running bias tires on a big heavy truck. I am ok with the vibrations and handling. The flat spots go away after they get a little road heat anyway. These are the only swampers that come in a size that is feasable on a dually. Does anyone know of another VERY agressive mud tire that would work good in a DRW app.?

 

I've seen people run 12inch wide tires on the back of a dually before and it looked pretty sweet. What about pro comp X-terains, or the nitto mudgrapplers There expensice but the look really mean.

 

There is a couple of member' s on here running the nitto mut terrain's. I'll see if I can find em..

Yea, thats another plus about the LTB's. No more than I would run them, probably less than 5000 miles per year, the cost is sweet!!! I am thinking a 3" spaer is gonna be required to run the 10.50. I could only imagine what a 12.50 wide would need? I run 36x12.50's on my other truck and those are some wide tires in a single wheel app. I just cant see it on a DRW app. but I may have to.

 

These guys have lifts but the other fellas I talked to were running them with just leveling kits.

2" dual wheel spacers will clear 35" nittos, look under dtr member "jim dynomite," or do a search under "spacers." Loads of info.

 

had a set of ltb on a 03 drw and had lots of probs i blew out three on the front i took them off swamper told me that they are not for the street but they are dot i tried to get them to stand behind them but no luck

 

i just but 35x12.50 procomp x terrains on mine with a 2 inch spacer ine the back and a leveling kit i will see if i can get some pictures whenever it stops raining around here.

how far outside of the wheelwells will the tires stick out? I dont want all the road grime but I want 35's. I think they look awesome. Do they make fender flares for em?

Just mount the tires where the outer tread lugs will slip into one another. I saw a guy once that did this with some 37x12.5's.....and IIRC they were boggers. I didn't stop laughing for awhile that night.
