Alright first of all I don't have much experience when it comes to turbos. I've never put one on a diesel truck, nor even really shopped around all that much for one. The mods to my truck are exactly what is in my sig. The only other mods I plan in the future is a turbo, tranny, torque converter, valve body, and head studs if needed. I plan to build a tranny from the ground up, so I'm just gonna play with the stock one as long as possible. I guess along the same lines as Shane (Luvnacummins).

The truck is a daily driver with some towing. I rarely tow anything very heavy; at most a 16' trailer with a couple ATV's, a jet-ski trailer with a couple of Sea-Doos, or a 21' Wake-Board boat. That is about the extent of my towing. I want a turbo that lights at least as fast as the stock turbo (preferably a little sooner), lowers my EGT's, and one that will keep good daily driving/light towing manners. I don't want anything with extreme lag or one that requires an extreme amount of fuel to spool. I've thought about a set of twins using the stock turbo, but I'm just not sure I want to go that route just yet. Possibly in the future, but I'd like to see what a single larger turbo will do first. What is everyone's suggestions? $$$ isn't really an issue, but as always I would like to find the best bang for my buck. Thanks in advance......

 

i started using my industrial injection SPS 62/14 when i was only running a quad race, guages, muffler, and intake. spooled just fine, towing egt's were cooler, and towing power was really good.
since i have added the smarty, it does even better.
