I would do two separate ones. Get one for the subs and then a 4 channel or whatever to power the rest of your speakers. That is what i have always done in the past. It is also better for tuning in my opinion...you can separetly control the power given to mids and highs verses the subs...what subs are you going with? Jason

I use a Alpine mrp-f250 for the doors and mrp-m450 for the sub.

I am a huge fan of JL so for the amp I would go with a 500/1 and either a 300/4 or a 450/4, first choice bein the 450/4.

If you are set on just one amp than I think they make a 1000/5 and maybe a 500/5 but I dont know if the 500/5 would have enough power.

On subs I have heard good things about the kicker comp vrs and they have a new one out that is a cvx that is 5 5/16s mounting depth. I would like to have the JL 10w6v2s but I think they are too deep but the 10w3v2s would prolly fit.

Amplify the front speakers before the rear, or both. Running an amp to the rear speakers and not the front is like going to a concert and sitting with your back towards the stage. There are alot of Amp options, your only limit is space. You can get a 5 channel and run everything, it may fit under the drivers seat depending on which am you get. You could get a 4 or 3 channel and run the fronts and sub, and it would probably fit under the drivers seat. You could get 2 amps hopefully fit one under each seat and put the tools someplace else. Or you could attempt to find an amp or 2 that you could put behind the rear seatback but there isn't much room there. I always prefered seperate amps on larger systems but if your just looking for a bit more then I'd get a 5 channel and keep it simple. If you ever intend to expand save yourself some hasstle and start right with larger cable and plan where future amps are going.

Lots of opinions, so I'll throw mine in too.

I have 2 12" Diamonds in a probox. I dont like all the rattle and thump you hear from the ricer generation. These speakers are amazing in that box, it sounds perfect, but can still kick like a country mule when required. I have some pics of them installed if you want to see. One of these days I am going to remeber to post them in my gallery...

I just got Rockford fosgate power component speakers installed with an alpine amp to fire them. I also have a JL 500/1 to push my two diamond 12" subs in ported box. I would go with two separate amps if i were you. I looked at a 5 channel amp to push the subs and speakers but it was way to large to fit anywhere inside the cab.
