Hydrolic assisted steering

So what happend H.A.S. . Does anybody run this anymore and is it any good for our trucks.

It used to be all the rage. Are there any regulations in pulling or racing of any kind against it.

PSC makes a kit for it. Last time I looked, it wasn't listed on their website, but I called them and they had it available.

Does your truck see a lot of off road use? My truck with 35s had no problems, but when I put the 37s on, it killed the steering box pretty quick. I put in a new box and a DSS and had no problems after that. I'm not running hydro assist on it but mine sees almost 100% street use. I think it would be worthwhile if you're offroad. On pavement, as long as youre rolling when you turn the wheel, you shouldn't have any problems with yours. Where the most damage occurs is if you're sitting still and turn the wheel. The frame will actually move or the sector shaft in the steering box will flex. The DSS was a good investment. Bought mine off ebay from PSC. Worth the money.
