HTT 62/71/13ss?

I'm considering picking up the new HTT 62/71/13ss turbo and was hoping someone would be able to answer a couple of questions...

How does the lag compare to the stock turbo?
Will my MPG suffer compared to my stock turbo?
At what PSI does this turbo exceed its efficiency range?

Also, I currently have a new set of ATS Aurora twins still sitting in the crate, but I'm not a fan of the cold pipe routing or the intake provided. Am I crazy to consider ditching my unused ATS twins in favor of the new HTT turbo?

Thanks!

I can't directly answer your questions as I have not had any personal experience with the set up you are talking about-- But I am looking into the same combo you describe as well and am looking forward to hearing the responses.

Well, I just got my standard 62/13ss on yesterday, almost got the 71 a few weeks back but I was wondering if it would be too laggy on the bottom. This new tubo rocks!! I drove 500 miles on it yesterday and looks like I'm up 2-3 mpg, boost at 70-75mph on cruise is 5-6 PSI and never over 10PSI on grades. I love the fuel economy, plus if you step into it she rockets from 12-30 PSI now!!! Then build from there, until my temps get up there a WOT and the TST start cutting back. Still testing different stack combos between diablo and TST.

I have to say I really like this turbo, could I have used the 71 yes, but at what cost for daily driving? This turbo spool almost as fast as the stocker, its not even worth talking about.

I can't say about the 62 but, I've been waiting on a SS 64/13 for a couple months now. I know the guys at HTT are doing what they can to get these new housings out but, I couldn't wait anymore. I went for the cast iron 64/71/14.

The reason I mention this.....If you're looking to get that turbo soon.... you better get on a list with someone for it and plan to wait a little while.

They just got some housings in at HTT last week. I would give them a call to know when specific models will be available. They have always been great when I called.

Yeah, Dennis and Dave were great to talk with but, I think what they got in was only 16mm. 13's are MIA. that our are going to a select few ??? As you said though.... doesn't hurt to call and ask.

Hi fellas, I know I'm 2nd gen but I got mine from ETR Diesel. They were the only one's with any in and they might have some 3rd gen 62/13 SS's in. When I called HTT it was a 3 week wait. Their machine broke down or something which is understandable...
